LEARN TO EVOLVE BEYOND YOUR SPIRITUAL TOOLS
The ultimate goal for using spiritual tools is to learn how to be so anchored in trusting ourselves and listening to our bodies that we rekindle our connection between our intuition and the Divine. Many people who dive into the spiritual world usually need tools to get familiar with the energetics of Spirit to start off.
They may practice with crystals for energy protection.
They may practice with pendulums to make decisions.
They may practice with tarot cards to navigate their future.
Although these tools are helpful and extremely convenient when you’re starting out, there’s a line that needs to be crossed after a certain period of using them.
Many people in the spiritual space will promote the idea that these spiritual tools are designed to help us trust ourselves more. While that may be true to some degree, it’s important that our intuitive connection should be just as strong without them too. After all, we should maintain our relationship to these spiritual tools for what they really are – tools. Sometimes we get so comfortable practicing with our tools that the original purpose of the tools begins to fade. We develop this co-dependancy to the tools themselves that we start pulling away from trusting ourselves, because all of our trust gets reliant on the tool.
Not a single spiritual tool or practice on this planet could ever replace your ability to go inward, face yourself in the mirror, and ask your intuition what’s best for you.
You’re not asking what your cards think.
You’re not asking what your spirit guides think.
You’re not asking what your pendulum thinks.
You are empowering yourself to face yourself and say:
“I feel this is what’s best for me.”
“I’m going to do this because that’s what I feel aligned to do.”
So I ask you to answer honestly…
Can you trust yourself without your spiritual tools?
Can you trust yourself to receive guidance without your tarot cards?
Can you trust yourself to give yourself the answer you need without asking your spirit guides what you need?
Can you trust yourself to make an empowering decision without asking your pendulum?
Can you trust yourself to protect your energy without carrying a crystal everywhere you go?
There’s nothing wrong with using spiritual tools. But if you start to recognize that you are becoming too reliant on them, take a break every once in a while.
Who ever said smudging was the only way to shift the energy of a space? If it’s your vibe to turn on some good music and throw yourself a dance party in your house, then reset the energy that way!
Once in a while, empower yourself to take charge of your life without consulting your tarot cards. If having an uncertain future feels uncomfortable right now, just focus on what you can control right now and do that.
If there’s something you want to do, and it already feels aligned in your body to do that thing, you don’t have to ask your guides if you should do it – just go do it!
The truth is, you are way more powerful than any spiritual tool on your shelf. The magic of a reading isn’t in your cards. The magic of the reading is in your ability to receive and transmit beautiful messages. You’re not protected because of the crystal you carry in your pocket. You’re protected because you know nothing can shatter your energy from the safety you hold within yourself. That’s why we’re supposed to evolve beyond our spiritual tools.
So if you can, try to do all the things that you do with your spiritual tools without your spiritual tools. If you can do that, then you reach the stage where you don’t need to use your pendulum anymore because now, you’ve become the pendulum. You’ve become the oracle your cards once were. Now you understand that no spiritual tool can ever replace your innate connection to the Divine, because everything you seek is already within you.
